The Cheapest Server

Is no server!

So your server has fallen over, or it’s on its last legs. What are you going to do? What are your options?
Most small businesses depend heavily on their server day in day out.  The idea of digging deep into your pockets and finding anywhere from £5,000 to £8,000 including installation, is somewhat off putting.

So what normally happens is plasters are stuck on to breathe a little extra life into it. New hard drives are added and more RAM is added to speed it up.

None of the temporary fixes above are cheap but better than the cost of a new server.
Now you may have read our blog on the end life for Windows XP, but did you know that Microsoft is also pulling support on Small Business Server 2003 in April 2014 as well?

But it’s not all doom and gloom.  There is another way You can have new desktops and new servers and the ability to work from anywhere on any device without the capital expenditure of purchasing new PCs and Servers.   In fact, you’ll never have to own a server again.  flexDesk®  provides all of this, and more,  on a per user per month basis.
Or before you go totally server-less, why not try having just a key application, like Sage or Act! delivered to you on your PC exactly as it is now?  With the ability to access it from any device, rather than just at your office desk.  This service is called flexiApp®.

So..  before you shell out thousands of pounds on new PCs or servers –  consider that there is another way that delivers lots more than just cost savings.
